5H-VIP This Grand Caravan doesn't wear any titles, but that doesn't make it a less nice shot. With many people combining a safari trip with relaxing on paradise beach, there are numerous small operators active in East-Africa. Also, Zanzibar is an archipel, which means that the world famous Zanzibar island is surrounded by many smaller islands. A plane is the quickest way to get there. |

102004 / 024 (cn 1274) It's quite a distance, Sweden-Zanzibar. The presence of the Gulfstream doesn't reveal much of the reason why the aircraft visited the tropic island. Maybe the Swedes are negotiating the sale of old Viggens to the Zanzibarian Air Force? |

5Y-EEE (cn 11229) Echo Echo is ex 5Y-MNT. The machine is taking a pause after its flight to Mombasa, with only six pax on board. The Kenyan police is not too enthusiastic about plane spotters. It costed some effort to convince them that shooting pics like this is an innocent hobby. |

9L-LFU At the time the picture was taken this Antonov was flying for 748 Air Services, a Kenyan based company. Most of its operations take place from Lokichoggio into South-Sudan. Next to Antonovs the company owns -what a surprise- a number of HS 748s. |
