VH-JMU (cn 549) Built 1972, ex N9MA. VH-JMU & sistership VH-JMZ operated on mine contract work out of Perth. In early 1989 PenAir closed down, both aircraft were flown to Essendon, and sold. VH-JMU became N65198, then C-FTOO. Converted to Cargoliner, op by Nav Air Charter, Sidney, BC, Canada. Nav Air had their licences revoked following the fatal crash of one of their MU-2s on 20.12.05. C-FTOO noted at Victoria International Airport on 27.12.05 in very poor condition, but still on Canadian register in 2007. |

A97-003 (cn 382-4783) Delivered 07/78. First photo of this aircraft with its early camouflage with the light grey undersides - later they had wrap-around camouflage. A97-003 served 36 Sqn from delivery until 17 Nov 2006, when it was transferred to 37 Sqn. Upon delivery of the RAAF's C-17As, all C-130H were transferred from 36 Sqn to 37 Sqn (which until then only operated the C-130J, and now operates both models). |

G-AWNC (cn 19763/48) "City of Belfast" departs at 16.30 as "Speedbird 12" on the then-regular service to Singapore, Bombay, Bahrain and London-Heathrow, a service that was later ceased when BA took a stake in Qantas. This aircraft was later named "Lake Windermere". WFS 31.10.98, TT 105198hrs, 21776 cycles. To Air Gulf Falcon 29.11.99 as P4-GFA, later reregd 3D-GFA. WFU at Marana, Arizona 29.5.00 - still there in 2005 waiting to be broken up. |
