Remark
Photographer
ZD711 / 079 (cn 329/BT037/3152) Without doubt some of the most surreal conditions I've ever shot in! Following a heavy rain shower the temperature started to rise and as it did so, the runway started to steam quite profusely! Departing for a CQWI 2009 mission.

Lockheed C-130A Hercules (L-182)
Tucson - Davis-Monthan AFB (Municipal) (DMA / KDMA)
USA - Arizona, July 12, 2009
Remark
Photographer
56-0493 (cn 182-3101) 45 years have transpired between this shot and the only other picture of this C-130 in the Airliners.net database. Its final assignment was to the 162nd FW Arizona Air National Guard at Tucson International. Note the early three-bladed props as in the 1964 image; this apparently occurred only because AMARG was fresh out of extra 4-bladed props when the Herk was cosmetically restored.

65-5692 (cn 61574) This Jolly Green Giant, originally 65-12799, wears the serial number and livery of a sister ship that was lost over the Arizona desert in 1989, taking with it 15 servicemen.
