XX292 (cn 119/312117) In January 1986 the Red Arrows detached from their base at RAF Scampton to RAF Kemble, their old home from 1966 to 1983, for a two-day practice camp to take advantage of better weather than they had at that time in Linconshire. Three of the team’s aircraft were substituted by Hawks from 4FTS, RAF Valley (XX161, XX292 & XX244). The team is seen here lined-up on Kemble’s inactive crosswind runway.
