62-4150 / KC (cn 138) This C-7 is actually SE Asia combat veteran 62-4193 but is painted to represent an aicraft flown by Maj. Hunter Hackney on 25 th Aug. 1968. On this day, he flew several low level aerial resupply missions through intense enemy fire, incurring heavy damage, an action for which Hackney was awarded the Air Force Cross.

Boeing B-52D Stratofortress
Dayton - Wright-Patterson AFB (Wright AFB) (DWF) (closed)
USA - Ohio, August 18, 2013
Remark
Photographer
56-0665 / 60665 (cn 464036) This shot gives some idea of the size of the truely cavernous halls inside the National Museum of the USAF when even a B-52 is dwarfed. This B-52 is a Vietnam veteran and was severely damaged by an enemy surface-to-air missile on 9th April, 1972. It arrived for display in Nov. 1978.
