Ecuador, August 12, 2014
Remark
Photographer
"Museo Aeronautico de la Fuerza Aerea Ecuatoriana" Telégrafo I. This is the aircraft with which Elia Liut, an Italian aviator, became the first man to fly across the Ecuadorian Andes. This was on November 4, 1920 and the flight took him from Guayaquil to Cuenca. Other than that, the HD-1 was a French WWI fighter which however mainly saw service with Belgium and Italy.
