N974VV (cn 46974/274) Private tankers - what's the world coming to? This aircraft was built in 1979 as JA8538 for Japan Air Lines, making its first flight on 30 January that year. It was delivered on 4 April. Twenty seven years later it was acquired by Omega Air of San Antonio, Texas, and converted to a tanker by FRA of Bournemouth, UK in 2006.
