ZK020 (cn RT011) Leading the 'Stampede' formation out to the hold for Runway 31. The aircraft both travelled down to the runway with cockpit canopies open, suggesting a hot day - not the case at all! However, this allows a good view of the miniature detonation cords in the canopy, which detonate when the pilot has to eject, thus shattering the canopy before the pilot's helmet reaches it on the way out.
