Re: Can a pilot fly another airline's aircraft in an emergency?

Boeing and Airbus customize the physics and flight characteristics for their respective customers. Types are not interchangeable between different airlines, and therefore can only be flown by flight crew trained specifically on a given airline's fleet. How, exactly, does an AA 738 have different “p...

Re: Can a pilot fly another airline's aircraft in an emergency?

No. If a Southwest 737 has an emergency, a United 737 pilot (for example) absolutely canNOT fly it. The cockpits have completely different layouts and instrumentation, and the UA 737 pilot would be unfamiliar with SW's setup. It is physically impossible for anyone other than a Southwest 737 pilot to...

Hi Rolando! Thanks for the reply. I tracked down two copies of the November issue of Air International, and love the poster! I presumed it was your work when in that issue I started this thread. I've actually got a collection of around 20 or so of your prints, but it's been a couple years since we'v...

737-900ER Tail Skid Question

According to Boeing's website (http://www.boeing.com/commercial/737family/pf/pf_900ER_fact.html), the 737-900ER has a redesigned, "two-position" tail skid. I've compared photos of -900ER tail skids with those of -900 tail skids and can't find any apparent differences between the two. So what exactly...

Great stuff ZSOFN!! I love the 744s. A few comments (from a fellow airliner profile artist): You seem to have the starboard winglet showing on the 744s as well as the starboard wingtip of the 772s, just curious as to why you did that? Kinda goes against the concept of a profile. Also, you should add...
