I'm surprised the only connections they're showing through Denver are to SLC, PDX, and LAS. Are there really that many people going to those cities every day to fill a plane ? Maybe they'll add some other connection possibilities later ? Frontier as of late has been limiting connecting flights out ...Jump to post
One thing to note about the noise - the new Boeing widebodies that routinely fly out of Paine are very quiet - especially with their light loads. I'm guessing that the Alaska 737's and (possibly) Allegiant MD-80's that will be coming will be a bit noisier. Although the Dreamlifters and AN-124's that...Jump to post
It's a long time ago (1970's), but Piedmont used to fly to both Smith- Reynolds airport in Winston Salem and Greensboro airport. They're only about 20 miles away from each other. PVD-BDL (66 miles) was a busy route in the 70's and 80's. This shows 10 flights - all jets.
That <acronym title="United Airlines (USA)">UA</acronym> DC-10 from to/from Hartford is a strange one. Looks like it continued on to <acronym title="Los Angeles - International (LAX / KLAX), USA - California">LAX</acronym> - at least in 1985. Any body have any ideas on why they'd run that one ? Well, google says 3 acres = 130680 square feet. 130680/3200 = 40'. Yes, that was at Renton. I think it was the first time a 747 landed there.
I'm sure they did a lot of research before the flight, but I wonder why they flew to Renton in the first place? What could they have been doing there that they couldn't do in Everett or Seattle, just a few miles away?
