The current bins on the main deck 747-400 dont need to be changed. I am glad they didn't, that would be a waste of money. I would agree that they need to finish the project that NWA started upgrading the bins on the upper deck to the pivot bins. I think pivot bins are awful. 1. They really dont hold...

Nice trip report.Pics are always helpful. If the lack of slald dressign was such an annoyance why didnt you simply ask the crew for some?

At my airline once you consume alcohol you cannot return to the jumpseat/flight deck. Interesting to see other way of doing that.

Timing and Schedule is another major consideration. Theoritically NW could fly an all 747 fleet to each city is serves once a day instead of multiple flights using smaller equipment, but that doesn't make any sense does it?

On the DC9 @ NWA the FO has the responsibility to go back and check that the tail cone has jettisoned. If not he has to pull the exterior aft tail cone reslease handle to jettison the tail cone. The exterior handle is on aircraft left close to the tail cone itself. Depending on the weight of the air...
