I thought there was also DFW-MUC, DFW-CDG on Delta back in the day, but I could be wrong. It was June/July timeframe in 2005 when the hub closed. Went from 250-260 daily flights to about 20. DL had all of Terminal E and the Satellite, then down to 4 gates. E was a literal ghost town for a few years...

Anyone know the loads on the IAH-ACA flights? UA was the only American carrier still flying to ACA after all the violence started. AA must have seen that it was worth it.

I saw one at DFW while driving down International Parkway. Quickly glancing at it, looked like the tail is all black with the MESA logo in white. I could only see part of the fuselage, but I think it was white too.

The Cotton Belt line is being built on existing freight lines that still will use the lines. It will connect up to the DFW North station where TexRail is. In looking at the AA google site for fleet updates, I see under the reconfig section the 738 and 321 which matches to the total in the fleet. But it also shows A322 with 20 in the fleet and 10 being refurb. What plane is that?

Just to clarify, this is not a defective bin, this is a vendor issue. The oasis refurbs done at GSO and TUL are perfectly fine.

If she showed up less than 10 minutes before boarding, her seat was probably given away. The gate agent might have put her on the standby list, and she was below the others on it. I don't know UA's system and if a paid first customer would be put ahead or behind that of their highest elite travelers...

Those F seats remind me of the ugly old LAA 757 F seats from decades ago. DL does such a great job of branding their planes - like the stitched widget on the seats. AA planes are so bland.

As we taxiied in today, I noticed that 17C is complete at the north end. The new runway is asphalt, not concrete like all the others. Any reason why? I thought concrete was longer lasting.

I'm wondering why the non-hub airlines weren't consolidated at B (several carriers were actually in B after D opened) and why Eagle wasn't consolidated in Terminal E. Now that the E-satellite is going to be an Eagle terminal, it would fit perfectly - a majority of AA's ops would be all on one side ...

I drove by the TexRail DFW North station on E Dallas Ave in Grapevine today. Very nice parking area. Seems like a good place to park and then only pay $2.50 each way to get to the airport. The problem is that TexRail only runs once an hour.

Question on wifi. Why does Gogo satellite work in Mexico, but Viasat not? This is my first time on an A319 with new Gogo, and it's so nice to have WiFi all flight. My previous trips on 738s lose wifi almost exactly at the border.

They are most likely talking about the system DL has in place at ATL Terminal F. Facial recognition starting at check in, then TSA, and then to board the plane. So, you technically don't need a boarding pass (but you would have to be flying).
