RE: USAirways Air Carrier Certificate Merge

Yup everything is still scheduled for the 25th. Things should go smoothly....they done massive training with us guys on the old MAPPER system....it's actually very easy.

But does this mean that "east" crews can fly "west" planes and vice versa? I wasn't clear on that....

US Airways Unveils New 767 Envoy Seats

They look pretty cool. Certainly an improvement over what we have now!

http://www.usairways.com/envoy

Anyone know if they changed out the interiors of the ETOPS 757's from ATA? Wondering what the Envoy seats on those are like.

That's pretty much what I thought too Western.....most of the 80's stuff were buyouts...one airline actually using their money to buy another carrier. Much of the blame can be placed on the ATC system.....I mean you read articles and see stories on the news about it almost daily....it's not unique to PHL, but they do seem to get it worse there for some reason....

PHL has been horrible this year in terms of weather and ATC. Doug stated this is one of the tops things keeping our ontime performance low. Not much you can do about it until the gov't decides to upgrade the ATC system. It's a hot topic these days, airline ontimes are at their worst in years.

I agree they don't have to change everything, but they do have to change. For a couple of decades they were very quiet, waiting for the chance to expand across the country...that happened of course and the downfall after 9/11 was an amazing opportunity for them. However times have changed yet again ...
