Re: Gulf Coast (PNS/VPS/ECP/MOB/BFM/GPT) Aviation - 2024

Yes it’ll be interesting if Breeze can make it work. It’s odd for Breeze to split itself between PNS and MOB. 2x weekly is bare bones…still going to potentially bleed some traffic to NK flying PNS-MCO daily. Avelo seemed to start out strong in BFM, but then loads deteriorated quickly in Fall and Win...

Breeze starting PNS-TPA service 2x weekly in June. They will also offer “Breeze Thru” service to ORF. I certainly didn’t expect this. It’s a bit of an odd choice but makes some sense with the thru service to ORF. Fares on PNS-TPA are high and could use some stimulation…..though might further erode S...

Silver airways has announced. They are returning to PBI With flights to TLH and PNS. PBI-TLH has been flown before. It might work though B6 might kill yields in FLL. PBI-PNS has never been flown before. It’s only 2x weekly, but I give low probability it survives. Plus Silver is horribly unreliable.

I’ve always thought they should just take the existing A/B tunnel to the main terminal and reuse that to feed people to Customs and Immigration. You’d have to create some sterile walkways from the A/B gates and from the tunnel to Customs, but it’s a better use than the current largely unused tunnel.

Re: Spirit Airlines Discussion Thread - 2021

I’d be surprised if NK adds PHL-PNS…with AA there I’m not sure it’s worth it.

I do think PNS-DTW could work. Probably work even better than routes like SDF-PNS which NK oddly added. I guess the only hesitation with DTW is the inevitable reaction from DL.
