Garuda 867 (737 - PK-GNS) - Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta about 4 minutes ago (14:48 LT)
In about 3 minutes, Thai Air Asia AIQ334 (A320 - HS-BBO) - Nanning China descending to Utapao (Rayong Thailand).
Did you try Google or go directly to specific airlines websites?
Just thinking of the GVA-BKK route, I tried Thai, Swiss, Lufthansa and Emirates sites and each had information on in-flight duty free, including product details and/or links to their catalog, pre-ordering, phones, etc.
In the late 1960s, Trans-Texas had a "weekend fare" (Saturday-Sunday) for unlimited travel -- $25, if memory serves! Seems like Texas International had a similar "unlimited flights for X days" in the 1970s.Jump to post
White-knuckle flying is not uncommon, but your list of fears of what 'could go wrong' is obviously much worse than the average knuckler. I have known two different people with similar over-the-top fears, and both attended counseling and 'fear of flying' seminars. Both now fly with little anxiety. As...Jump to post
American Airlines' website clearly states that they do not accept unaccompanied minors with connections to/from different airlines including OneWorld carriers. https://www.aa.com/i18n/travel-info/special-assistance/unaccompanied-minors. Is the child 12 or 15? I'm not sure I understood your comment....Jump to post
Do you mean the 15th? Not inside info, but on Flightradar24..... UA314 on 15th currently shows N215UA and UA1899 currently shows N845UA. If you mean another date, check Flightradar24. In case of equipment swap, easy to get update once at home. As KLMatSJC said, UA Fleet or even a Google search will ...Jump to post
Asking 'which is best' of the 7-8 airlines you mentioned, will get you 7-8 different answers...or more. What's important to you: airline, alliance, aircraft type, seat assignment, etc.? Both segments are 1.5 or less, so inflight service will be minimal. As far as cost, you can already book the first...Jump to post
rttlnsnk - Thanks for sharing your interesting comparison on two short flights. It seems like each airline does a nice job. Great pictures!Jump to post
Luca - what an interesting read! Your enthusiasm about the trip really added to a very fun description of your trip, and not just "I sat here, I ate this", etc. What a great opportunity for you to display your talents at the gallery. Arq - Thank you for sharing your wonderful report on Thai's inaugural flight of the A350. Your commentary and pictures were great. I live in Chonburi and based on your report will book a trip to Chiang Mai before the aircraft moves to the Melbourne route. Thanks again!Jump to post
c152sy - Thanks for the detailed report on VietJet. As an expat living in Thailand, I have failed to try any of the LCC's that have sprung up over the years. I'm glad to hear VietJet delivered on an economical but safe flight. I will try them in the future. Much like HGL, when I glanced at the pictu...Jump to post

Great examples, but bold moves and out of the box thinking do not guarantee long-term success of the brand!
From the examples above:
HGL - Great report, as usual. It seems like you had a very attentive and accommodating crew. The late dinner and breakfast both looked good. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with us. I look forward to future reports.Jump to post
Really nice report. The cabin and seat look very nice and love the 1+1 configuration for single travelers. (4-inch monitor? :) ) The food and snacks for a 5 hour domestic flight were impressive. Before retiring and moving to Asia, I was on 2-3 AA flights a week for most of my 35-year career. Was the...Jump to post
Hirofumi - your reports are always so detailed, yet with a distinct personal touch. The halo effect of your plane in the clouds was interesting. Looking forwards to your future flights.Jump to post
Your information on your CZ flight was really informative. Thanks for sharing your experiences. I've never really thought about the confusion that two time zones/one city could cause. Your great report caused me to look for other blogs about it. Your description of boarding times (9:10-11:40) and pu...Jump to post
Very detailed and interesting trip report and a great collection of aircraft pictures.. Thanks for sharing. If your flight was in July, the Austrian OE-LPC was in Hamburg on 15 and 31 July, and the Yangtze River 747 (B-2432 / 28283) was in Amsterdam on the same two days flying Zhengzhou-Amsterdam-Ti...Jump to post

When I saw the original white box with white wording, I assumed something was wrong with the posting. I had to highlight with the cursor to find the words and then they appeared as white. Great report and pictures/video, Sam. Out of curiosity, did you notice what the four holes or buttons on the partition between the two center seats on row 12 were? I didn't see them on the rows ahead. Living in Thailand, I have never considered Oman Air, but your report definitely makes me want to g...Jump to post
Much improved, and looking forward to more updates. Thanks for keeping us informed.
Minor suggestion: Does the yellow "edited" bar on a post need to be so large? It's sort of glaring and "in your face".
Great report!! I thought the same thing on the menu pricing at first. The Snacks and Sandwich pages in particular looked like the vertical line was a "1". €30 for a sandwich and Pringles seemed a bit high! That's when I went back and looked more closely!Jump to post
Hi Jeff - what a great way to celebrate your birthday...getting to experience an airline you've wanted to try, fly on another favorite airline, and a quick visit with your parents. Glad it went so smoothly for you. It's a shame start-up costs are so prohibitive and difficult for smaller, boutique-ty...Jump to post

Great report. I wish Air Serbia success in their new route, and think you comments are right on the nose. Maybe with a few more trips under their belt they can begin to tweak these faults. I have been curious.
