So how will this effect the build plate (not sure the correct terminology)? I was in an RCAF C-17 a few years ago...still a McDonnell Douglas plate even though was built as Boeing. Will they still Be Bombardier or change over to Airbus?

Don't forget it isn't a 100 seat aircraft...CS100 is 108 dual class, and 120-125 single class depending on seat pitch. Same as CS300 is 130/140/150 depending on layout. Even max capacity of 100/300 is 133/160 with 28" pitch.

Take a look at "cseries_fanpage" on Instagram. A photo was posted today showing 3x (appear to be completed) Swiss and 2x Korean jets. You cant see if they have engines or not, but they all look very close to being finished.

I don't think the speed on station for a SAR event is what the concern was...but the ability to get there quickly. Don't forget the SAR area provided by Trenton is absolutely massive.
