The A220 is LARGER than the E190 making their entry-level size aircraft problem worse, not better. Combined with a DL response, places like IND CMH MKE MCI ORF GSP etc are not 400 PDEW markets from BOS, regardless of what the Boston Aviation thread might tell you.... and saying it will be Europe fee...

The big problem is the adds from here on out all involve cities where 3x 120-150 seat aircraft is overkill, and especially when up against DL who will fly alongside with E175. Once the E190s are gone Jetblue lacks the proper size aircraft to have business friendly schedules to Places like MKE CMH IN...

The more BOS fills up, the more Florida service they can shift down. I'm assuming the PBI is doing well as they are keeping it at a daily A320 right into the off-season.

Maybe they will benefit with getting the much needed 2nd FLL.

I missed the DL session, the jumpstart conference is becoming the Farnborough of air service announcements. My guess is "hub" is really more of a marketing term to combat B6 rather than a coordinated flight schedule hub in the traditional sense.

The Rhode Island Dominican population is around 40,00, so if 1% use the flight, that's 4,000 people on 5,600 seats so a 70% load factor right out of the gate ;-)

I know that't not how it works but it will help what should be a viable flight demographics aside.

Accordingly to Suncountry's website PVD-PUJ will start in November... Sat only for the first month then Wed/Sat December through April.

Still surprised no CUN but PUJ is popular for leisure and also some ethnic ties as well.

On the flip side every time I see the NY Jets plane at BOS I think to myself "wow JetBlue, do you even understand Boston?!" I had that plane on PVD-MCO once.... the pilot apologized for the aircraft assignment but assured us the tires were fully inflated... a mixture of laughs and groans ...

Looking at July 15, I looked at seat count for that date for several airports in New England for AA to PHL. PWM -5 flights 3 175s, 1 320, 1 145 total avg. 464 seats per day MHT- 6 flights 5 145, 1 175 total avg 328 seats per day BTV 5 flights 3 145, 2 175 total avg 306 seats per day BGR 5 flights 4...

AA seems to be way down for all NE airports this summer. PVD-PHL is running 6x, 3 mainline in May but 5x 1 mainline in June. BDL-PHL in June is 5x, 2 of which are 50-seaters, PWM actually has more capacity to DCA than PHL.

They ran ops with the regular 738 for months so they can do it, probably just weren’t ready to. I did BGO and back which was much a few hundred miles further with the regular 800

Skid marks seem to indicate that the aircraft left the runway BEFORE it crossed the crosswind runway, i am curious to see if they even "landed" on the runway to begin with....

United just did this with PWM/BTV-DEN to drive out F9, they all do it. This is still less of a competitive crime than allowing WN to buy FL

PWM-DEN is arguably one of the most successful routes Frontier added in 2018. I would imagine F9 won't just give up.


What is that based on? PVD-TPA was over 90-95% full all last summer and they aren't flying it this summer...
