As for the UK-OZ routing, according to GCmap LHR-TPE-SYD is 10602 miles, via SIN it's 10673 miles. The TPE route has a slightly more even split between the two flights.

Those seats still look awfully slim-line and not very comfortable. I do understand that they like to have flexibility in their cabin configuration but I think the current trend of not giving at least couple of extra inches of legroom in European C-class is just awful.
