I've got to go to work at a bar for tonight, so I celebrated yesterday with some friends of mine who were visiting New York City. Went all over Manhattan with them during the day, then went out for a couple drinks. Had waaaay to much to drink at some bar near Times Sqaure, went to some other place i...Jump to post
Excellent trip report, Charles. I love all of these Concorde trip reports because they bring to me an experience I'd always dreamt of but will now never get to experience. But as much as I love them, I also hate them because they sadly make me remember that getting the chance to fly Concorde is sadl...Jump to post
Haven't posted in quite a while because I've been pretty busy with life in general, but figured I'd start back up with this little story I heard tonight. Anyways, me and my father were discussing this earlier and he told me that about two years ago he was talking to his friend who's a security guard...Jump to post
I've got T-Mobile and like the service. For $39.99 a month I get 600 minutes and unlimited nights and weekends. I also pay an extra $3 a month for 300 text messages. The coverage is very good where I live and where I'm going to school even though I hear a lot of people complaining about them. P.J.Jump to post
Car accident...In Febuary I was driving home from school and as I was making a turn someone failed to stop at a corner (stop sign) and drove into my car. Since I didn't see them coming it scared the crap out of me and getting hit with the airbag wasn't fun either. I was happy my sister wasn't in the...Jump to post
Last week I flew on Estonian Air from LGW-TLL and thought I'd ask since we never get the opportunity in the USA. I'm going down to Lynn University in Florida for business. Should be nice to get out of the cold Northeast weather for a while, plus I may be getting a scholarship.
Drove up to Niagara Falls this past summer for the day. It took about 7.5 hours each way and I ended up being gone from about 5am to 7am the following morning. It was very tiring, but definitely worth it.
I used to be afraid to fly...but I got over it and now love flying. I have even gotten my private pilot's license since then and flown on a couple long-haul flights. The other big thing I'm afraid of is heights. It's kinda strange since I love looking out the window from airplanes...I don't go on ro...Jump to post
Kudos to the pilots for getting the plane safely back on the ground. That must have been a very scary experience for everyone on board, especially those that saw the flaming engine. Delta did a good job having counselors on site, I'd imagine a number of people would have opted not to continue their ...Jump to post

No one in my family is a train nut but a friend of my father's is. He has a very big collection of Lionel trains and takes over a room to setup a big display for a couple months every year. It's not on your list but as A389 said check out the Nokia 6230. Has some nice features such as an MP3 player, camera and all the reviews I read about it are good. Probably going to get it for myself in a few days, since my old phone is just about dead. <img src="http://ner.pl/im/nokia/6230_2_b.jpg"...Jump to post
I live in Point Pleasant Beach (town the shows based on) so I've been waiting to watch the show from when I heard about it. From what I can see so far doesn't look like the real Point Pleasant at all. Was hoping there would be at least a couple scenes in the real town. And the town that's on the wat...Jump to post
I should be able to make it to EWR on Jan. 30th (hopefully it's still not this cold here). Would be great to meet you guys. The IKEA isn't bad if the security people don't chase you out, but I haven't been to P4...Jump to post
Try checking in the newspaper or at a store, sometimes people get rid of cases and you can get them at a good price. I just got a display case for my little collection of 1:400 planes. It's not in the best shape, but it was free and should look decent after a little work.
A few years ago my grandmother and I took the Silver Meteor from Newark down to Orlando. We both had a great time on the ride there, very relaxed way to travel. We met some interesting people aboard and got to experience something new. As Superfly said it's not meant for everyone. Both of us enjoyed...Jump to post
The only time I was ever stopped for speeding was during the summer, I was going 85 MPH in a 65. Luckily I had a couple PBA cards so I was able to get away with a written warning, or my insurance would have been through the roof. Fastest I've ever driven was 110 MPH it was the middle of the night an...Jump to post
The technical/operations forum would probably be a better place for this, I'm sure one of the mods could move it.
As to your question, not sure why it is slightly forward than the rest of the levers, but if you look at the engine instruments they all seem to running about the same.

Just saw on channel 7 WABC that a Gulfstream landing at Teterboro was blown off of the runway.
