There is actually an STC to add an APU to the Saab 340. I’ve worked on a few that had it…be it VERY rare. These were the corporate versions.

This aircraft is completely in tact at the bottom of the ocean. It was landed very gently and slowly sank... the only parts ever found have been external.

Left side up, right side down, but looking at Flightaware it goes nowhere near NYC...and I'm sure ATC wants them no where in the area. The tracks I saw straight out of PHL till parallel to HVN, then straight into HVN crossing over Long Island

Well, I did the upgrade. Noticed now its being markets as 'Flagship Business'..when before it was just 'Business Class'. Seating configuration didn't change. Whatever that means.?

A friends father was FDNY. He once very briefly mentioned a plane crash he was at. I'm guessing this was it. He never talked about it, and I never pressed. He retired before September 2001.

The aircraft were owned by the airline. No leasing overhead. In many cases you will find they were flown by Senior Crews. Why..? They pick the lines they want, and in many cases flew fixed routes and slept in their own beds.I once asked one of our senior Captains at the regional airline I worked for...

Having been a part of many "Bridging Inspections", they are not easy and take lots of record research. Throw in another language....oh my. If Southwest contracted someone to do these inspections, that would make them liable
