What a race and what a season it has been. In my opinion, whichever way the championship would go, the most deserving driver would end up on top, especially after such a tight and exhausting season. Imagine all the pressure both HAM and VER must have felt during the last few races, and yet keeping a...Jump to post

If a storm was incoming, why did the leave the loadmaster so close to the aircraft and the cargo door open? A loadmaster is generally a person, so the question was were they harmed and why hadn’t they sought shelter? Haha, sorry, meant the loading equipment! Giving it further thought, the storm mus...Jump to post

Personally anything above 7-8h is long haul, with +9.5h segments as true long hauls and +13h as ULH. Have a hard time seeing people calling the short hop from the US East coast to Western Europe as long haul and getting worked up over that, especially in winter with strong tail winds. Medium haul wo...Jump to post

Was on yet another 787 flight yesterday on AC LHR-YVR in which the crew locked the window at the darkest setting for the majority of the flight. This is a mid day 2:10pm to 3:30pm westbound flight, so really not meant for creating a dark cabin for 7 hours. Just HATE the override function crew have.Jump to post
As EWR-ARN wouldn’t be a new route, maybe it is EWR-GOT on a 757 a few times a week over summer peak season?Jump to post
Parking rates at the terminal garages are increasing on Oct 19. $6/ first hour $7/ each additional $50/ per day max Also the airport will be charging fees for EV charging. $2 to hook up and $0.25 per kWh. I wonder how popular the EV charging will be now considering it’s more expensive than local re...Jump to post

Now that LH seems to preparing their 747-400s for return to service, what routes are they scheduled to operate on? A couple of weeks ago there were several TATL routes that showed as operated by 744 from first week of November, but those have now been removed.Jump to post
While I love the large 787 windows and the dimmable function, as setting it at the 1st or 2nd level still allows you to look outside while filtering the brightest light, I just hate the override function crews have. For instance, just a couple of weeks ago I flew EWR-JNB, a 15 hour flight, and the w...Jump to post
@ PatrickZ80 Here we go again with your obsession with APD. Using your logic, no one should fly nonstop long haul out of the UK due to APD. First of all, I don’t know why you keep assuming that the once a year LCC pax will do absolutely anything, including flying on 2 separate tickets through a thir...Jump to post
Are looking to avoid the MAX because of its history or because of the layout some airline have gone with? The former. I don't trust it, wouldn't feel safe on it, and will not be riding one any time soon. I don't care what Boeing/FAA claim to have done; the only thing that'd make me comfortable with...Jump to post

Regarding the Delta snack boxes, Delta could learn a thing or two from Alaska who currently have the best catering in First of all domestic carriers. Basically full service with hot meals on all flights longer than 1,100mi, and not just on a select few premium routes as other carriers.Jump to post
Is LH really going to start flying the 747-400 at the end of October? See it on multiple routes, but might just be a placeholder? It's the next type to be brought back. If they need more capacity, then it will be back. 333/343/359/748s are all flying. So yes, it's possible, but depends on TATL dema...Jump to post

UGH darn it. I didnt look into that Unless you're shorter than 5'8 fly somebody else. No amount of savings is worth induced scoliosis on a flight that long (and that would go for Allegiant and Frontier as well). I typically agree. However, it might be worth checking to see what Big Front Seat costs...Jump to post

Spirit is wasting time. They must shut down the entire system down for 48 hours and begin positioning aircraft and crew for a grand startup. Do flights on aircraft owned by museums count as flying an aircraft type ? I will be flying LGA-LAX next week, can report back on LF.
According to their website, https://www.pragusa.one the airline is supposed to start the sale of their tickets today (5/24) on DBV-EWR and DBV-LAX. However, that doesn't seem to be the case, and they still have not released their schedule.

BUR-AZA was advertised and ticketed as a daily flight, but has not operated since the inaugural on Monday.
