The City of Chicago is incompetent when it comes to keeping a runway open. Downright awful. How the airlines continue to put up with this is beyond me. Don't know what you're basing that statement on.....I work at ORD and they do an excellent job.....Heavy snow and strong winds would challenge ANY ...

I have no Idea what Doclightning does for a living, but if you spend enough time in this business...You work the same airplanes every day, you DO form a sort of bond with them....Yeah, it's JUST a machine, we get that....but in their own way, they do have personalities...

Not dumb at all.....Boeing, until recently, had customer numbers...For example, United's customer Number was 22. Hence 747-400's became '422's No basic difference to the basic aircraft, just cosmetic stuff...And please remember there are no dumb questions, only questions that you don't know the answ...

I like the Terminal Plan...not so much the relocation of 4L/22R. I believe the new runway cuts across Touhy Ave on the north end which of course cause its relocation...UA's hangars would have to be moved...somewhere...and as you mentioned, more noise for a few suburbs that don't get much now....MAJO...
