Probably a stupid question, but do we know when repaints are due to pick up again? And are any 752s going to get the new livery (other than the two her art here birds)? Obviously not a priority right now but would be good to see them start again. All painting has been suspended...trying to save mon...
Jump to postHi, Has N78540 been painted in the new UA livery? Which 738's wear the new livery at the monent and what's the upcoming painting schedule? I heard the Star Wars 738 will be repainted too? When is this planned? A388 I can't answer all of your questions, but....NO aircraft are being repainted at this...
Jump to postPossibly a lack of understanding of what the pilot was experiencing...An emergency was declared, I'm not in a position to judge if that was necessary, but I believe the controller could have been more professional and empathetic.

No, but PBA operated it as N136PB, known affectionately as "Old 36".

Was this DC-3 ever operated by Air New England?
Jump to postFirst of all, Welcome! That's kind of a BIG answer....Lot's of domestic flying...Transcons...Hub to Hub...Hawaii and the Pacific, although 747's did much of the Far East, NRT, HKG etc.
I'm sure other folks will add more details...
The City of Chicago is incompetent when it comes to keeping a runway open. Downright awful. How the airlines continue to put up with this is beyond me. Don't know what you're basing that statement on.....I work at ORD and they do an excellent job.....Heavy snow and strong winds would challenge ANY ...

I’m at DEN right now and I see a 763 to ORD today as well. Is this now part of the schedule? It’s probably been five or six years since 767s have made regular appearances at DEN.
I remember this...kind of a publicity thing. Hard to find some states that could justify mainline service at that time...Delaware come to mind....Mid 70's I believe.
Jump to postI have no Idea what Doclightning does for a living, but if you spend enough time in this business...You work the same airplanes every day, you DO form a sort of bond with them....Yeah, it's JUST a machine, we get that....but in their own way, they do have personalities...

Jump to postI'm dating myself here, but I was working for Executive Airlines the day Iberia crashed...it was quite the mess. United was hired to remove the fuselage from the end of 33L. It took about a week IIRC. It was slowly rolled down 33L on flatbeds and eventually over buy an area between firehouse and the...

Jump to postThat's very disheartening to hear....Last year was the first time I actually got to the fences and did some spotting...would have been great to go inside, but I guess that wasn't to be...I thought MZJ was at one point offering tours, provided they had people available. Jump to postI, Like VC10er, am excited about the used busses.....Very versatile aircraft, great plane for moving a city pair from RJ to mainline.

Jump to postYou know...Ever since my Dad took me to the observation deck at ORD back in the 60's, I've been in love with airplanes and aviation...Many on this website certainly understand how you get attached to an airplane, especially when you've worked them on a daily basis. An overly emotional reaction? Mayb...

Jump to postI wonder how many of you folks work at companies that have never made a mistake.....This is pointless!
Jump to postNot dumb at all.....Boeing, until recently, had customer numbers...For example, United's customer Number was 22. Jump to postI like the Terminal Plan...not so much the relocation of 4L/22R. I believe the new runway cuts across Touhy Ave on the north end which of course cause its relocation...UA's hangars would have to be moved...somewhere...and as you mentioned, more noise for a few suburbs that don't get much now....MAJO...

Better Yet! Let's keep it in SFO as a tribute to a Great plane. I'm sure there would be no shortage of mechanics to maintain her!
