Re: OLD TERMINAL 2 LHR QUESTIONS

I spent many a day on the Queen's Building in the 80s and 90s. Pretty sure there were no dedicated gates (not really a thing in the UK/Europe for the most part anyway). There weren't a huge number of gates, maybe 15-18. There's some good aerial views in the historical imagery on Google Earth. Canadi...

So did someone tell the politicians to make sure the laws they pass are clear or was it truly political to make the people believe they were doing something? It is beyond ironic that the regulator is dropping a case because the law that the regulator put in place is not clear for the regulator to u...

The OP about British Airways is not true, it would be in contravention with UK law. The standards for registration marks come from one of the annexes to the Chicago convention (my memory is a bit hazy but in might be annex 7) and include underwing marks. There's an error on the pic details- it's not G-AWNF. It's G-BDPZ which was an Aer Lingus leased 747 that flew in this hybrid EI/BA scheme. The aircraft was usually dedicated to the LHR-ORD flight. At the time MIA & ORD were served from the two longhaul exceptions that flew from LHR Terminal 1 ...
