Perhaps Qantas will postpone reopening their SYD - JNB route due to the new variant from South Africa. Re: Australian Aviation Thread - November 2021

Most the network operation is FIFO, so even if they’re slightly too big for some routes consolidating on mid age A320s that phase out of the JQ fleet could prove overall more effective for the entire business than keeping potentially the last remaining 717s running or throwing brand new E2s or A220...

The F100s operated by Network is a wholly owned operation as opposed to Alliance which is essentially contract flying. E190s may well replace the F100s but they wouldn't be flown by Alliance. Re: Australian Aviation Thread - November 2021

In QF config would the 787-8 fit the same number of Y seats as the 332s (assuming 28J), or would it be less? Were QF to takeover the JQ 788s, you'd think J class would grow to cover all of the way to L2. Using the 789 as a template, I'd estimate this would allow for between 28 and 30 J class seats....

Re: Australian Aviation Thread - November 2021

The 789 would not work on DEL, far too premium heavy. Im surprised that QF have stuck to the single config for the 789s, perhaps if they order further aircraft to replace the A330s on Asian routes. I never indicated QF would use the B789 on DEL, what I was implying is once the 3 x B789’s come onlin...
