They’re probably just trying to get the money they would’ve gotten had Trump ordered factory fresh planes and not fought for cheaper prices. I don't want this to get political, but under the previous administration, the cost of the two aircraft went from $3.2B in 2016 to $5.3B in 2019, so yeah chea...Jump to post
There’s a lot more to the history of global conflict than Spielberg productions btw Absolutely, but, how to explain this.....We (I am an exec for a hotel casino group) ran a private screening for a group of veterans, most of them were visibly shaken by the opening scene, during it I felt horrible, ...Jump to post
Putting the 747 SP up against the 741 really doesn't tell the whole story, the 742B had a range of 6560nm and the 744 was 7670nm.
Again, comparing the 340-500 isn't fair, it was designed as a flying fuel tank, compare the 340-300 to the 340-600, 7300nm to 7800nm.
As long as the military don't buy into it all that will happen is some stupid people will end up doing time or come to a sudden and short conclusion that their. AR15's really don't stand up well against police/state guard/an M1A1. The question I have is how many of these Trump will be back in office...Jump to post
I specifically remember fares east coast to Europe in first being around $3000 Pre-covid. What’s the story here? I'm flying LAX-LHR-TLV RT on AA/BA in first at the start of August, came in at $4300 all in. LAX-LHR-CPT RT in Jan, again on AA/BA in first came in at $4500 all in. So yes, there are som...Jump to post
Tonight, the wife and I went out to dinner with a group of friends, these are people who couldn't tell the difference between a 737 and a 777. The interesting thing was, my wife (who still considers VS doing away with the inflight massages as the greatest travesty in aviation history) mentioned that...Jump to post
Serious question, why is this in non-av, it's a civilian airliner owned by one of Europe's largest airlines being forced to land by a foriegn power, what gets more civil aviation than that?Jump to post
A quick look at random prices showed that VS/DL and BA/AA have reacted quickly to B6.
Also of course B6 has no lounge.
So the big boys aren't giving up the routes easily, but with that said, I don't see B6 having any issues filling the Mint cabin on every flight.
What do you mean they never had any real consideration for DOH-LAS? Qatar had a press release for nonstop DOH-LAS and was selling tickets for it. "In response to passenger demand, Qatar Airways has proudly announced it will commence four times weekly, non-stop service to Las Vegas, Nevada, sta...Jump to post
Price range and interests ?
I've been to both islands many times, personally I prefer Grand Cayam, but neither island would be my first choice.
I prefer the Dominican Republic and St Lucia.
Its going to be brutal for these large high-cost legacy airlines that relied on longhaul and business traffic as a significantificant portion of their revenue base. Especially being fully loaded with both old and new debt They would have come much better off if they had gone through a full restruct...Jump to post
The simple answer is money. Rather than trying to appeal mass market, the channels (not counting NBC, ABC and CBS) who still somewhat (no matter what Trump says) report in a general manner, cable news channels are going after a small portion of the audience. Roger Ailes figured this out and made New...Jump to post

Disney inherited the Queen Mary lease with it's take over of the Wrather Corporation which they bought primarily to get control of the Disneyland Hotel. We have just moved into a new home and I am noticing a number of spots in the house where the current routers wifi signal is just not providing coverage. be more viable since more people would want to travel to New York than Philadelphia. Thanks 99% of passengers don't care where they change planes. If you fly frequently (or even semi-frequently) you do. But this might have some validity. I am always dumbfounded by the amount of wrong way connection...Jump to post

And... there you have the key problem with this business plan. Yes, there is demand for premium economy transatlantic (at least, in non-pandemic times) but not ~200 seats' worth daily to PRG or DBV. You might be able to get that amount of demand to LHR/CDG/FRA/AMS but on a single flight that really...Jump to post

Okay catii so, clearly, we know where your focus(foci) lies(lie). You. however, don't speak for the rest of the flight officer group. Why who do you fly for that you’re speaking for “the flight officer group?” Facts are facts. No one is voluntarily giving up being a wide body captain to be a narrow...Jump to post
It's actually pretty simple, Texas passed this law, the companies that don't want to follow it deny access to their sites for any IP addresses in that state.
Then Texans can scream and cry that they are being treated unfairly by the big bad social media companies.
Done! One piece of feedback: I don't know if it's too late to change the survey now or if this is a difference in British vs American surveys, but most of the surveys I have done, the more you agree with something, the more "points" it is worth. So strongly agree would be = 10 and strongl...Jump to post

I can understand wanting to lose the Mccarran name due to the racist and anti sematic background, but honestly, they should have gone for a neutral name like Las Vegas International.
Harry has done a lot for Las Vegas and Nevada, but something neutral would be better.

British Airways also dropped Detroit-London. Not because of lack of demand but because they couldn't compete with Northwest when it was grated access to Heathrow. Aren't many of the casinos closed during the week? Not to mention zero trade shows. I guess at some point some flights are just losing too much money and something has to give. What does Spirit flying transatlantic have to do with airlines that only fly intra-Europe? Every action triggers a reaction.
