Re: Why weren’t the A330s not grounded after the pitot tube issues?

Also, it's the second crash that grounded the Max. There was no second crash in a similar situation within a few months for the A330.

And the A330 was not brand new. It was a proven design. The 737 MAX statistics are abysmal.

The A320 does not need an MCAS. It has fly by wire too.

Re: How did the infamous 748 wing wave recover from its stall?

It's a delivery flight: the airplane is at a super low weight. That's why the entire thing feels riskier than it really is.

Yet, if I were the cargolux CEO (or insurer), I would not be too pleased with my pilot and make sure he only waves in a very low key fashion going forward.

Will the A330 Neo have an even cabin floor?

The A330s and A340s are known for having a slightly uneven cabin floor (lower at the front).
The A330 cargo has a bulgy front gear door to correct this and make loading easier.

I wonder about the A330 Neo. Will it still have the uneven floor?

Re: Any Experience with the Airbus factory tour in TLS?

I did the A330/A340 tour in 2007, the 747 tour in 1991 and the A380 tour in 2013. You could see the planes better for the A330 and 747 lines. You can only see the A380 from a platform that is quite remote from the planes at one end of the factory. So I wish the A380 tour would be more revealing but ...

It looks like pilot seats in airliners are in some type of fabric. Couldn't they be leather? Isn't that the most comfortable for such a heavy use?
