Re: Porter Airlines Fleet and Network - 2024

Are Porter selling all 132 seats on Toronto - San Francisco or do they have to weight restrict somewhat? The flight is 5hrs20mins, quite impressive. Unrestricted. My guess is that YUL-SFO on some days might have to take a small hit if winds aloft are strong and/or a cloud rolls over SFO and throws ...

WS can fill a 787 on YYC-LGW. They did it last summer and it was full. Daily. In addition to daily LHR. They pulled it to run daily NRT and launch ICN.

There is clear and absolute utility for additional frames.

Despite the proximity to YYC the YEG O&D remains higher, the probability remains higher of filling a 320-seat airplane with a front J cabin, and there are more onward cnx as WS could potentially be seeking to offload some of the heavy lifting that YYC has to do. The 70 seat jet has been the hole in the WS network. The hole is becoming even bigger than this. As 737-700 frames retire, it's 7M8 and ~212-seat MAX 10's coming on line to replace them. The originally ordered 7M7 have all allegedly been converted to 7M8. There's obviously commnality and a host of ...

Lynx was in arrears with the CRA for $25M and had a payment plan in place in exactly the same fashion as Flair, for what it's worth..."duties" on imported 7M8. That money was a relative drop in the bucket compared to their overall debt so it wasn't much discussed.
