Honestly, I think the answer to EAS in the current crewing crisis facing specifically regional airlines, the lack of new built aircraft with efficiencies to serve these and other factors is for the Federal Government to tie slotting at high demand/high revenue airports to service at the EAS cities....

what i find aggravating is the lack of interline connectivity offered by ACO vs, say, Cape Air that also bid on JBR with multiple connects to major carriers. If we are going to fund these routes, at least make it worthwhile by having some sort of tie-in to the airline network at large..

my very 1st non-rev trip was in 1982 MCI-MDW-CLE on the short 9, still with TWA interior and even the TWA imprint remained on the bulkhead from the previous signage. I followed them closely thru all their rebranding, my favorite being Midway Metrolink with 2x2 seating!

time to re-ingratiate themselves to travel agents( the few that are left) that historically did a lions share of their work for them. pay the commissions again. Train them on IRROPSs and pay per transactions.

since the elimination of change fees, things have simplified somewhat for online changes. Airline need to further de-complicate their offerings to reflect the staffing realities and declining knowledge base of archaic fare rules and booking formats.
