The utilities issue was found out after that November 14th report. That first 2 million was agreed when they found a buried fuel tank the Port knew nothing about. United is about to walk on the whole deal now.

The United hangar might not happen now. The current problem is the whole ANG base uses one meter for all its water and one meter for electricity.The Port wants United to foot the bill to split these utilities which will cost 2 million plus. The city of Portland, Oregon started a sick time ordinance a few years ago. The ordinance states any company that has a business in the city limits must give their employees 40 hours of sick time a year without retaliation. So with my airline and our CBA, the employees can take 4-10 sick days a year...

The POP is forcing United to move their ticket counter to the north lobby. They will move next to Delta in early 2018. If I had to guess, Southwest will move into the current United position.

United is going to build or move into an existing hangar at PDX to start an A check line in the near future. They have been transferring in a bunch of techs in the last few months. Maybe those LAX A checks are moving up to PDX?

They just rebuilt the bus shelters at D8 and E2 for the international buses, so this is the POP solution to having C&BP at the end of concourse D.

United is still in works to open a hangar at PDX. They were looking at one of the old AFR ones on the south side but that fell through. Last I heard was maybe converting the old Delta cargo building into one?

Of course they add more mainline after they outsourced the the station. The United employees weren't even given a vote if they wanted to take a pay cut to stay in OMA, most of them would have.

Delta had 2 Crown Rooms at PDX back in their gateway days. The one not being used is upstairs between D5 and D7. You can see the windows over looking the concourse.

If they put Southwest on E, it would be a nightmare. Concourse E is only half the width of C & D. It's super crowded with just United and Air Canada. The POP would be better off putting Southwest on D and then the smaller airlines over on E.

They can probably build 6 more gates onto E. They would have to move the E5 jetway more east to line up the new gates. The port replaced the asphalt with concrete a few years ago on the E6 ramp, so they can save time building the new extension and not have to worry about the ramp area, I wonder if H...

That was most likely a military charter since it's the 747 that United uses for charters only and it parked at the ANG ramp.
