Not a great comparison considering the 77W was a variant of the Next Generation 777 with updated engines.

Re: Rumor: Airbus to launch A350-1000ULR

If Airbus goes ahead with the 1000ULR to win 'Sunrise,' isn't that a fool's errand? I mean, who besides Qantas and Singapore would want this plane? Development costs could only be spread among those carriers, who would 'expect' favorable pricing from Airbus I would reckon. Is there any money to be ...

Re: United Fleet/Network Thread - 2019

You're right about United's perception in the TLV market. IAD launched on 5/22 and loads have been heavy right out of the gate. They're looking at ramping that service up to daily ASAP. Now they have their eye on ORD-TLV next. There are also rumors that UA is looking at adding an all new destinatio...

Re: Is TK going to EWR or not?

They were denied viable slots timings. Has nothing to do with UA connections, but timing at IST hub. Agreed, but United could likely have easily helped fix this. At the core is a strained relationship between TK and the rest of the Star carriers because TK is expanding faster than they like. UA has...

IAD-PEK is a polar route, should be doable with pax and bags only. IAD-PEK is further away from max range then LAX-SIN was and they have the added benefit of less winds.

Does anyone know why EWR-ICN hasn't been selected as a new route in the past couple of years? I thought it would be a prime candidate once UA received 787s.

It's going to be SEA. Lets not kid ourselves YVR and SEA are two different markets. Are IAD and EWR/JFK the same market? If not how could YVR and SEA be in the same market with an internation border in between them.
