Re: TSA Screening Numbers - Charts and Comparisons

I flew DL LAX-SJC last week, and I had first class to myself with my partner. There were 8 ppl in Y. My DL LAX-MCO flight for the beginning of June was changed to LAX-ATL-MCO, and it shows 5 available seats in Y on the ATL flight, and 12 available seats on the MCO flight, both on the 752. DL just got rid of their last one, as I received the email about my May flight last night around 1am pst. Now I'm connecting in ATL. UA and AA handle most of Disney's corporate tr...

Re: Coronavirus Aviation Related News & Discussion Thread - March 2020

I’m being optimistic here, but I think you will see a travel boom sooner than later. When these airlines cut fares, consumers will react. Delta has already advertised super low fares to Europe. Low fares are not good for the industry, but that is what it will take to recover. This will go away at s...

My AF66 flight from CDG-LAX today was about 40% full in J, and looked to me about 60% full in Y(judging by line outside and baggage claim). Re: Questions about Royal Jordanian and Middle East Airlines operations and flight

I think RJ does pretty well on long haul flights, but like you I have always seen short hauls being nearly empty. That is true even when they schedule the B787 on short haul (for example it flies to CAI). RJ also operates the Embraer 195 so reducing gauge is an option too. That said, a lot of traff...

Re: Questions about Royal Jordanian and Middle East Airlines operations and flight

Look at the fares between AMM-BEY. They are never less than $250 USD rt in Y. I can fly LAX-MCO for the same average price. Compare this to LAX-LAS, which is of similar distance, and it's very easy to find sub $100 USD tickets. I'm pretty sure RJ and MEA price fix on this route, and it's very believ...

The blackbird holds the ACTUAL record. Meh. While no one's going to contend that Concorde could match a Blackbird in speed, it's sorta anecdotal to use that flight as a comparative record when the latter was already at speed, and at altitude, before and after the timing was started and stopped.
