Re: Major Expansion B6 at EWR and JFK

JFK - With the additions of DTW, MSP, and DFW, along with the BNA addition (announced pre-pandemic), B6 will have significant domestic coverage. Combined with the growing LatAm network (I assume GUA will still come on-line at some point), and London next year, B6 will really have a robust network. ...

Why? I think it would make more sense for them to connect with UA at EWR, TP also has a larger presence at EWR compared to JFK. But would compete directly with GRU-EWR from United. If wasn't by that, EWR would be obvious By the way that article explains more: https://www.aeroin.net/azul-pode-voar-p...

Thanks enilria! Surprised B6 hasn’t yet loaded the looming LGA/BOS changes. Is NK abandoning EWR-DR? That would be a win for B6 and a bit surprising too. Re: JetBlue Network Thread - 2019

A few more points that seem to be interesting from earnings call yesterday. - ancillary revenue up 15% per customer YoY, now at $33 per customer, all time high for B6 - bag fees up 15% YoY - change fees and EMS also grow in double digits - 24% growth Yoy on loyalty program that last part is probabl...

Re: JetBlue Network Thread - 2019

The allure of mini-fortress hub in BOS is great. They can get to 40% in domestic market share with the gate resources they have + a pretty robust international operation. btw, the vaunted DL operation at BOS hasn't looked so great since they started their summer schedule in June. I've seen them bel...

Re: JetBlue Network Thread - 2019

The YOY Q1 comparison is off because the Easter/Passover week moved to Q2 this year. AA is a mess at JFK. Too much capacity at BOS As for B6 going north of 200 flights in BOS...they are bleeding money and it isnt a smart war. I believe B6 and DL will need to learn to coexist like they do in JFK and...

Re: JetBlue Network Thread - 2019

So Q1 results are out and I'm going to try to do some usual yield analysis here. Here are some quick summaries from glancing around some of the markets I track. - DL is really eating AA's lunch at JFK. I know this is B6 thread, but it's pretty interesting to see how much DL is improving in performa...

Thanks enilria! Regarding the B6 DCA slots: my understanding is that they still have the same amount of slots. Perhaps not everything has been loaded yet, but I believe we should expect to see the following: DCA-BDL/TPA/JAX/CHS are cut (all were run 2x) DCA-BOS goes from 10x to 15x DCA-FLL/PBI/RSW ...

Re: JetBlue Network Thread - 2019

These are the cuts: *ANC will no longer operate after summer 2019. *LRM will close right after New Year's. *Hobby operations will transfer to George Bush. *Charlotte-JFK frequencies will transfer to Charlotte-Boston. *DCA to Charleston and Jacksonville discontinued. One more flight each to FLL, PBI...
