Re: Taiwan Aviation Thread - 2019

I was leaving TPE this past Tuesday and saw a KE A388 which I hadn’t realized saw its way to TPE. Is that normal for them around the holiday season? I wasn’t too surprised considering how many Koreans apparently visit Taiwan.

Re: Historical list of UA 747 service

Thinking back on it, I wanted to confirm whether UA ever ran a 741 on DEN-LAX as late as 1998/1999, or whether that was a 742.
I remember in the front a spiral staircase, so that’s making me wonder if it was a 741.

Re: The Future of ISP

The connection from the airport to Ronkonkoma LIRR needs to be improved immensely IMO. ISP would have a much better appeal as a NYC airport if it could improve that link. Proposals for a people mover train from the terminal to the station would be a bit too much though. It would be nice to get MDW b...

Re: Airports that had potential that never made it

HPN definitely comes to mind - it's conveniently located between two of the wealthiest counties in the United States, and certainly better for the Connecticut Gold Coast than EWR/HPN/JFK. The problem is that said wealthy people do not like too many "noisy" aircraft overhead... For NYC are...

I would imagine this has already been discussed in the forum, but aren't foreign airlines required to have SOME level of the language of the country they are flying to? Flights seem to be available from 08/14 with the following times: ISP 10:45 MCO 13:30 A320 MCO 07:15 ISP 09:55 A320 From a ISP viewpoint, I would have preferred a early departure to MCO and evening return with the A/C staying overnight.
