Someone just bought what's left of WOW Air.

The Iceland Monitor is reporting ( https://icelandmonitor.mbl.is/news/news/2019/07/12/will_americans_resurrect_wow_air/ ) that an unnamed group, "experienced in airline operation and with decades of experience in the US, Europe and elsewhere” purchased the flight assets (e.g. brand name, logo, ...

At most, it was 2x daily. They operated out of Terminal 1 at CDG. They gave up their slot at LGW in favor of STN in an effort to save cash. Obviously, it was unsuccessful.

That would be interesting to see. You could have F9 and W6 codeshare with connections at KEF. It would work well, just transfer a couple A330s to F9 for the longer transatlantic flights (eg, KEF-DEN, KEF-LAS).

That didn't take long. But we all knew it wasn't going to work from the start. There was no cost savings. It was essentially Air France trying to paint their brand as fresh and hip. I wonder if AF would consider CLE-CDG. It is barely in range of an A320neo (by about 200 km/100 nmi), AF could experiment with it using their Joon brand (although I think AF is convinced that they can make the Ted/Song model work in Europe).
