Saw an older Southwest 737 at Opa-Locka, Florida last week. I’m assuming another retired aircraft being converted or chopped. There are strong rumours , that XTRA AIRWAYS will take delivery of a bunch for their ULCC project. I guess the rumours started with the the registration of N926 XA msn 27926...Jump to post
Tax optimisation + quick clear aoc process True, Malta = "Flag of convenience"; see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_convenience I have seriously my doubts and expecting the worse to happen soon. In my opinion, the Maltese CAA has not enough resources to oversee the sector. Airlines...Jump to post
Hi, sounds fair...
Since yesterday the law changed dramatically... The EU airline is now responsible, if it sold the ticket and NOT any longer the operating carrier; bcs. the EU airline can ask for compensation from the partner carrier. So indeed, AF needs to refund the sector in Economy.
On Kayak (and other sites like Expedia I see offers starting with Malindo BDO to KUL (Kuala Lumpur) connecting to Emirates (1h55 minutes lay over in KUL) to CDG via Dubai. ... I wrote Malindo which asked for the ticket number (don't have it...will not buy the tickets if cannot check through)...so i...Jump to post
At Small Planet (S5) it wasn’t a requirement to have someone seated at the overwing exits, which I always thought was weird. But then again they allowed e-cigarette use on flights so I can’t complain That is illegal - exit rows mus be occupied: The newly introduced point (a) of AMC1 CAT.OP.MPA.165 ...Jump to post

There is one BIG problem - EUROWINGS is not accepting any UM on US flights... :eyepopping: Not only the ground crew should have known this rule, also the flight crew... If the UM was handed over to the flight crew, they should have been high alerted that something doesn't mix up. Translated from the...Jump to post
Flights to Frankfurt will commence in October and Jeddah in December. So Citilink will start in less then 4 month - do they hold already the necessary traffic rights? Why ? TX flies the 332 and 332 on their ORY-CAY route in high densities config without pbm and I can’t really see this route carrying less cargo than AMS-PBM considering almost everything sold in French Guiana is imported from the French mainland. I can remember the good old days of LTU - flying th...Jump to post
You are entitled for full EC261, IF the connection was booked in ONE ticket and IF the delay was not an "act of god" (like weather). Important, the delay doesn't count - only the arrival time at the last point of the ticket does; so 600€. Upgrading and downgrading 2. If an operating air ca...Jump to post

Smartwings has been suffering from the aircraft shortage caused by the fact the airline had been forced to ground the entire B737MAX fleet. Not entirely true, yes they are suffering from B737MAX grounding - but more from leasing in very sdubious airlines/aircrafts to replace them. Like YAN AIR whic...Jump to post
Correct, only the final destination counts - if it is booked on ONE ticket, so 600EUR. If you were holding separate tickets, only the affected route would have been counted. On top, BA should have provided you with free meals, drinks and phone calls. If not, you can claim this expenses as well - jus...Jump to post

At least on LWO-IEV AN-24 is standard occasionally substituted by AN-140. On IEV-ODS-IEV you may be lucky to fly the AN-140 or YAK-40 - or the jackpot would be the AN-74. At least there´s no risk ending up on a Western aircraft. Good luck. How many YAK40 are operated by Motor Sich? There is a BIG p...Jump to post

My dream would be a Laudamotion plane painted in "Lauda Air" retro colours with a huge picture on the tail - like norwegian does! He deserves this honour - but I am sceptical, if Ryanair is doing so!

Sadly no BAe146 flight for you. I am still puzzeled about the 25KG free baggage allowance on Star Peru. I remember well the operations during European summer and we normally always exceeded the MTOW. So, how Star Peru managed to fly in the Andes with full load? Amazing.
Norwegian is selling ALL flights on the 5K code - but as you could see on flightradar, the flight itself is operating on HiFly Malta.
