Re: AAL9440 MIA-LIM diverts to MIA reaching LIM

This isn't the first time I've heard of a plane trying to land at LIM in the last few day, if carriers (even if a charter/rescue flight) know a country is in complete lockdown, why bother taking off in the first place? Can someone explain that? Thanks

I haven't seen anyone else post about this, so I'll reiterate: if it is a PITOT tube problem, is the ADS-B data we are relying on here accurate? So far (at least with the pertinent replies here), I keep thinking the Pitot tubes as well. AeroPeru 601 is at the back of my mind, at least elements of t...

Unfortunately this flight school is in the news again. This is either the 4th or 5th bird they have lost in the last year or so. A factory for international students with a lack of oversight. I'm sure the Miami FSDO will be busy with this one for a while.. https://www.local10.com/news/florida/miami...

Very happy to see one one was SERIOUSLY hurt. IT's funny when Peruvian Airlines acquired these 733s. They touted them as "ultima generacion" (lastest generation, implying they are new). Very deceiving as I knew these birds were old (not that it matters). I imagine they will replace it with...

This is storm "Kate"? Saw a wild video of a Qatar 787 landing in Manchester, but appearing to "stand still" on approach. Like I said, wild.

EDIT: Nevermind, this landing occured March 26, 2016, nevertheless, interesting video.
