Western definitely had a hub at LAX as did united. Now it's a very strong focus city for UA, AA, DL and WN they all care mostly about the huge O&D numbers and offering service to such a large city. Better to connect people thru cheaper cities like DEN, SLC, And PHX in general but connection help...

I wouldn't be surprised if we see Delta jump in on year-round 757 service. Could be a good opportunity for them.

AA seems like the natural fill for One World, but they don't seem too interested in JFK at the moment, but they could step up with a 738?

Wouldn't a 757 be the best choice. 767 might work runway wise but what about all the NIMBY people around that airport be better with a 752? Wouldn't the 757 have better performance to get higher faster etc? Just seems like a good plane to me for that airport

Another thing I notice is: F9's operation at EWR is basically done for the day at around noon or soon after. Why no later arrivals planned? Seems like a slap in the face and counter excitement with all the strike craziness. I doubt they would be so dumb from a PR standpoint. Look up British Airways the first things that come up are all strike-related. I am saying this is fiction and/or delayed.

Taking out PTVs was dumb in the first place. Talk to anyone NOT on here, they evaluate if the plane was "old" by if it had PTVs or not. People want and use PTVs. Unless you are an ULCC not installing PTVs was a bad idea.

Eastern Europe is out of range of the 757 so needs a 330 or 767. You might see it. Eastern Europe seems to have been a huge hit this summer and AA is going in deeper. You could see a PHL-VIE flight.

I think Frontier would be crazy to not try EWR-DEN. This is horrible new for us frequent flyers on the EWR-DEN route i remember the old days when United has a monopoly. The premium for a N/S was insane!

When you combine the fact that AAs fleet is stretched very thin because of the MAX and the runway construction, it only makes sense for AA to keep AA reduced for now. I doubt it affects any slots or anything they are doing the PANYNJ a favor by reducing flying and helping congestion.

Delta operates N/S to all of their hubs and Virgin serves all the major cities. Sounds pretty well covered to me for delta especially since they only need it for o&d it's not a connection city . Delta is super large at CDG and ams those are where transfers can happen

Yeah it is very strange! But I think its a great addition to just have something to connect the gate areas! It's not something the average customer will need to use, and they can make it look nicer with carpeting and things.

With the disaster the 737 MAX has become, i doubt Boeing will consider anything but a full from scratch redesign. Just scaling things and not spending money on engineering seems like a bad shortcut.
