Delta has good access to Asia via SEA, ICN, and DTW. No reason delta needs to fly any routes direct. They can one-stop to all the major cities.

Nah Boston is too close for a ULCC. That crowd with less than daily service isn't going to boston they would mostly likely just drive. Re: United beats on 2Q earnings, adding used 737

I’m ignoring the Delta doofus, but wanted to comment on the MAX situation. It’s had a minimal effect on outright flight cancellations thus far, but I’ve noticed a MAJOR impact on the operation overall. We would have around 20 of them by now, and trying to take care of our customers with a full sche...

Re: United beats on 2Q earnings, adding used 737

It's important to mention: The 737 MAX groundings forced United to cut its 2019 capacity growth target for a second time this year. It now expects capacity to grow between 3% and 4%, versus an original forecast of 4%-6% growth. United will be affected by the MAX no way to hide that. More hurt the lo...

May it be possible (dare I even think this) that the MAX will never fly again?? No, it will fly again and be a successful model. When you combine the fact that AAs fleet is stretched very thin because of the MAX and the runway construction, it only makes sense for AA to keep AA reduced for now. I doubt it affects any slots or anything they are doing the PANYNJ a favor by reducing flying and helping congestion.

TPAC is still a PRASM dumpster fire, whether one thinks of it as less-than-successful strategy vs. UA or an outcome of Chinese carriers' rapid expansion.
