I am flying JFK-MAD-LIS and the JFK-MAD sector on an IB A-340, MAD-LIS sector an A320/321 and the return MAD-JFK on IB is on an A330. UA and other airlines on that route use narrowbodies. I am not a big guy (5'4"/164 cm) but for sure prefer widebodies for the ride, easier access to the loo's. ...

I doubt that anyone who got an upgrade to F was flying for "free" or hasn't given the airline 10's of thousands of Francs, Euros or Dollars in business in 2018.

If you look at the German leisure market and see what an all-inclusive holiday in Egypt will cost you, and you see that Small Planet is doing a lot of the flying, it's not surprising to see them fold. The same applies to other charter operations.

I flew CGN-SEN return two weeks ago. Outbound the LF was about 60%, the return flight was close to full.
SEN as such is a nice airport, but I don't see a lot of demand from the inbound side. I believe I was the only non-local on either flight.
