Two Planes At The Same Gate

I just recently caught a few minutes of the documentary of Dubai Airport. in it they were talking about the new concourse D being built. It said they would have several gates that were capable of operating two planes at the same time. Could someone please explain to me the ins and outs of this confi...

RE: Nikon D7100 / Nikkor 18-300mm Combi

As a very fair-weather spotting I found the 70-200 f/4 more than sufficient for my Nikon D7100. Plus the new version of VR on this is supposedly equal to 4 or 5 stops.

George Best Belfast City Airport

Was a lot of controversy about this at the time of renaming. Calling an airport after a footballer who basically drunk himself to death. But still one of the best the world has ever seen.

London To Sydney Only Narrow-bodies?

My question is, would it be possible to fly between London and Sydney without setting foot on a twin aisle bird? Even if it will take 10+ legs. Is the difficult part getting onto Australian soil?

RE: Visiting MAN For Spotting (31/08 & 01/09)

Well if anyone is going on the A380 day I would probably be up for leaving my hotel and going round to the south of RWY 23L early on about 7 or 8 am to get a few photos in before the crowds start arriving.

RE: Visiting MAN For Spotting (31/08 & 01/09)

Is it easy to find your way from 23L to 23R?

And once I get there how would get to the Runway Park or the Airport Hotel?

Thanks
Keith

I have just recently booked fligths from Belfast to go to Manchester for the first time to do a bit of photography! Tuesday 31st August and Wednesday 1st September. I booked these dates mostly due to the Emirates A380 coming in on the second day. I am going to use the day before just to try and find...

RE: Nikon Lens Question

I have been using the 55-200 vr for 2 years now and have always said what a great lens it is for the price! But lately I have found myself wanting a few extra mm to get some different shots. I had thought about the 70-300 vr and the sigma 140-400. But both those are too expesive for someone as poor ...

Going On My First Trip This Month - GLA

Glasgow International (<acronym title="Glasgow - International (Abbotsinch) (GLA / EGPF), United Kingdom">GLA</acronym>)! I know it's not a very exotic place to go but it's far better for me than compared to Belfast City! Flights to Glasgow are booked on flybe and I think I'm all set to go. So as I ...

BHD/EGAC: Last Person Spotting There?

As this morning seemed quite a good day I went up here to do some spotting. Anyone who spots here will know that the Ikea multi-storey carpark is the best spot to go. Well when I got there I aggonisingly discoverd the multi-storey to be closed! It could be reasonable to assume that they are closing ...

Canon EOS 450D Lens Kits At UK Launch

Just wondering with the UK release coming up next month about lens kits that will be available for the 450D. All I can find now is the camera with the 18 - 55mm. Would anyone know if a kit with the 70 - 200mm lens (as like the 400D) will be available, even by the summer even?

Cheers
Keith
