I was on a red eye last night. There was scattered applause and some cheering when the F/A mentioned that masks were now optional during the pre-departure announcements. I'd say it was 50/50 wearing them vs. not (based solely on my people watching during boarding).

Can they execute the required duties of a flight attendant proficiently?

Can they deliver the level of service B6 asks of its employees?

If it's "yes" to all 3 of those, the rest doesn't matter.
