Spent 9/11 at these gates. The silence was deafening.

Unfortunately some of us have to mine Twitter for information on the regular because so many of these right wing characters make up falsehoods about company policies and executives. It's a constant battle because they will take any nugget and turn it into nonsense outrage to drive their income stre...Jump to post
Is this employee easily identifiable as a working crew member?
Can they execute the required duties of a flight attendant proficiently?
Can they deliver the level of service B6 asks of its employees?
If it's "yes" to all 3 of those, the rest doesn't matter.

Odd. Why a long delay and a plane switch? You’d think the crew would have plenty of time left.
I'd be willing to bet that most pilots prefer not to be watched like animals at the zoo.Jump to post
Again, N-e-v-e-r going to happen. Yeah, we want you to have something, that's only been developed in the past 6ish months, to be injected into your body. This whole new, employee vaccinated push, is strictly theater to appease the flying public, much like their middle seat open schtick. It's almost...Jump to post

When checking in passengers, I dreaded MNL bound passengers. MNL and Brazil were the only exceptions to the 1 bag/50lbs weight limit rule. I believe they were allowed up to two bags weighing up to 70lbs each. When they pack their bags, they literally make sure they pack every inch and weighing exac...Jump to post
I don’t know about you, but not getting sick or dying from COVID seems like a pretty big freaking incentive to get the vaccine to me. Same. I also think that coming together to fight a common cause/enemy is one of the most patriotic things one can do as an American. And tbh, I think that's where a ...Jump to post
I think it's run it's course, and maybe the organizers know it. COVID just gives them cover to cancel one more year, and then quietly end it permanently.Jump to post

Moderna here. 1st shot: Was over before I knew what happened. Felt a little tired that afternoon, and arm was a little sore for 2-3 days (similar to other shots). 2nd shot: Life in my 20’s prepared me well for this. Fever/chills/dizzy overnight. Next morning like a mild hangover, and was gone comple...Jump to post
We all lament the loss of objective and long-form reporting but have repeatedly shown that by and large, we're not willing to pay for it. We've decided that settling for access journalism and/or hot takes on FB are acceptable substitutes. It sucks. That budget hearing in Ballard? The local school bo...Jump to post
It is very shocking that even after a year of this pandemic, there are so many mask skeptics on here. That too on an AVIATION SITE. I would have thought that after a year of seeing the industry falling to its knees, people on here would be more sensible... I could not have been more wrong. +1 It's ...Jump to post

From the Delta press release: Delta and Airbus have agreed to add incremental aircraft to Delta’s order book of cutting-edge, safe , reliable and lower-emissions aircraft by converting purchase rights for 25 A321neo aircraft into firm orders, and replenishing Delta’s purchase rights. Wisconsin airports are getting some love with this latest schedule load. MSN is going from 9 flights a day (all CR9 or CR7) to 14 per day, with an A321 and a few 717s thrown into the mix. And GRB is getting a daily 717 to ATL in June, the first time that station has seen scheduled mainline since we...Jump to post

No one will get "fired" for it. Companies will simply change their terms of employment to require vaccination. Your choices as an employee will be to either accept those terms or withhold your labor and separate from the company.Jump to post
But they dismissed it at every turn. Ed said they weren't fair to the Delta Family, and we WON'T do them. The Flt Ops leaders mocked the concept in a town hall, saying "what's a SILs?" translation: "We don't want the AFA gaining any more ground than they already have." I initial...Jump to post
If you want to fire the CEO of every carrier than has cancelled a hundred flights due to its own failures you won't have any major carrier CEOs left. This was all about optics to Flight Attendants, Ramp Agents and Mechanics. All of which don't have the staffing and training realities that pilots have. Since Delta now has pilots who are not current what was the point of the deal? Was it simply for the headlines Delta avoids involuntary furloughs and the good press those headlines generated? Pretty much, but not before holding layoffs over the heads of the (unionized) pilots as an example for othe...Jump to post

[twoid][/twoid] There is a lot of room for improvement that Delta can make. I think they need to just focus on being an airline and concentrate on turning a profit and expanding and building new routes and step away from social and political matters. I would love to see Delta make a bigger push into...Jump to post

Today out of MKE Delta is flying a 757 to ORD, definitely a charter of some sort but cool to see a plane so big on a route dominated by CRJs. https://flightaware.com/live/flight/DAL8838/history/20210318/1630Z/KMKE/KORD Most likely a repo flight to start an NBA charter. If, as was likely in 2020, VS collapsed, then Delta becomes badly outgunned in the London market, they return to being a poor third against BA/AA and UA almost overnight, the VS loyalty base is up for grabs and hard fought market share vanishes.
