Re: Updated: AS employee steals and crashes Q400 at SeaTac

How about putting some type of movable barrier around critical areas of an airport that can be controlled by the folks at the tower. You know, like those metal cylinders that shoot out from the ground in some garages. If you had some of those at a runway threshold or in other critical locations a to...

RE: Aircraft Launch Time In A Carrier

Thanks fpr all the replies. That video shows exactly what I mean: the launches themselves are quick, but that seems like a lot of time spent in the cat until the launch ok is given (love those Tomcats!) I guess you can only go so fast what with all the people around - check how close those guys are ...

Aircraft Launch Time In A Carrier

Hi guys, I was watching a great but rather obscure movie (in general, since I´m sure most of you know it) called Final Countdown. There´s a scene I love when Kirk Douglas as the Nimitz Captain barks "Launch Aircraft!" and all of the carrier´s planes take-off in rapid succession. Now, while watching ...

I´m shopping for one as well, what I can figure from the images is that the 4.5mm fisheye gives a full circle image on a 1.6 crop sensor, while the 8mm fisheye gives a larger image with just the corners blacked out, like in Nitin´s image above. Correct? What confused me is that while both lenses tec...
