Re: Australian Aviation Thread - June 2020

With REX on the triangle I would assume there would be at least some connecting traffic with the regional routes particularly SYD. Be interesting to observe.

Re: Australian Aviation Thread - June 2020

Maybe QF747 will be a series of domestic flights, as long as QF can get high loads and price the tickets so they don't lose money on this? I think they could find a lot of people would be happy to take one last 747 flight even if it was say SYD-MEL. Domestic borders aren’t open though. Yet at least...

Re: Australian Aviation Thread - June 2020

Well less than 3 months ago we were told by the PM that restrictions would last at least 6 months, they are already being eased. So just because it's said now that international is unlikely this year doesn't make it certain. See what happens here and overseas between now and September. Sent from my ...

Personally I think the stairs add to the image, the bright yellow against the black is a great effect.

Re: Novel Coronavirus outbreak

Australia's Foreign Affairs Minister Peter Dutton has tested positive to the virus today. He recently returned from the US. This could mean that more top Australian political leaders have been exposed. My personal opinion is that the US and possibly here In Australia are facing possible large number...

Re: Novel Coronavirus outbreak

Personally I don't see how Japan could have 100,000 cases, seems like scaremongering like me. Given the population of China is approx 10x Japan it seems highly unlikely. No I have no inside information I'm just looking at the available statistics. Regardless I think the situation should be clearer i...

Re: Novel Coronavirus outbreak

Vaccine needs to be developed with the next several weeks or so, and the treatment trial in China needs to speed up. It is 1 second for midnight for the Coronavirus If they don't do this, 2% of a couple of billions people will die (i.e. tens of millions). Stopping all modes of transport and locking...

Re: Woman pees on floor of Wizz plane.

Not quite the same but on a SQ flight departing SIN bound for BNE an older man decided to go to the loo while taxiing (we were on the cross taxiway past T1 so not far from the runway) I was just behind the exit row facing toilets, as soon as I saw him I alerted the crew member sitting at the door wh...
