RE: Restaurants With Great Plane Spotting

Unfortunately the 94th Aero Squadron closed in <acronym title="St. Louis - Lambert-St. Louis International (STL / KSTL), USA - Missouri">STL</acronym>. The building and all is still there, but it is not open. That was a fantastic place to plane watch back in the great days of TWA. Wish it were open,...

RE: Am I To Old To Be A FA

I got my friend on with TWA at the age of 63, it was a short career for him, but he loved it. The airlines seem to like the more mature FA's now. Give it a shot. Good Luck.

Happy Landings,

Jay

Favorite Inflight Magazine

What is your favorite inflight magazine? Which do you find to have good articles as well as provide helpful information about the airline on which you are flying? The "old" Frontier had a great magazine that seemed to be very focused on Frontier and provided great articles as well as wonderful infor...

Paying For Pillows And Blankets

Well it is happening on American Connection, not sure if it is occurring throughout AMR or not. A pillow and blanket "kit" may be purchased for $5. What do you think? Do you think it is a good idea or is <acronym title="American Airlines (USA)">AA</acronym> just getting cheap? It seems as though tha...

What Would You Pay For Service?

As a flight attendant in today's airline industry I have to tell you that it is embarrassing with the lack of service I am able to supply to my passengers. Back when I started with TWA we still had food on domestic flights, if not in the main cabin at least in first class. My Dad was with the origin...

RE: Southwest Passenger Forced To Buy An Extra Seat

So sticking with the theory that if you are too "large" to fit into a seat then you should have to pay extra for it, I suppose we should start talking about "people of heighth"? Say You are a pax on a <acronym title="Royal Jordanian">RJ</acronym> flight and it is full. You are stuck in the last row ...

RE: MSY In 1987 (17 Pics)

Tom, thank You for sharing. It is great to see some old pictures like that. Of course I hate saying old pictures because it reminds me of how old I am getting. It is always nice to see Airlines from the past. If I am not mistaken wasn't TransStar formed by Southwest after they bought Muse Air? I thi...

RE: Tipping Flight Attendants?

Let me state that first of all I never advertise that I want a tip, or will accept a tip. However, as previous posts have stated you do not want to insult or cause embarassment to any passenger offering a tip. That being said, have I ever accepted a tip as a <acronym title="Safair (South Africa)">FA...

RE: L-1011 Bursts Into Flames At ROW

So is it now called a L-1037, a B-711, a L-7310, or a B-710? I am just glad the writer of the article got his facts straight otherwise I might have been confused as to what type of airplane had actually caught on fire. Of course by the picture You can definately tell that it is in fact the infamous ...

RE: Frontier, Hawaiian Look At Partnership

According to the article it seems to be pretty clear that it is a code-share agreement of some sort. Quoting Frontier Spokesman Joe Hodas "It's one of the relationships and code-share thoughts that we've had off and on for quite some time". It seems to me that it would make good sense to have a code...

RE: Too Sexy To Fly? Southwest's New Attitude?

I have seen far worse board my airplane and would never think to say anything to any of my PAX about their attire. Though I might not agree with what they are wearing, we do live in a free country and as long as all the necessary parts are covered there should not be a problem. The outfit she was we...

The Final Livery, which on the interior re-incorporated the Double Globe on the Bulkhead walls. Then of course the Double Globe would come next, and finally the Red and White. I was an <acronym title="Safair (South Africa)">FA</acronym> for TWA in both the Red and White and the Final Scheme. It's ni...

Perhaps with the reduced schedule due to the Holiday these were planes that weren't going to be used and both companies decided to do a little good <acronym title="Philippine Airlines">PR</acronym> with the folks attending the air show.
