LGB does not have a CBP facility and unfortunately will not get one anytime soon due to community opposition and subsequent negative City Council vote. ONT is closer than LGB to the large ethnic Chinese communities east of Downtown L.A.

It was a 707 refueller, the French AF has a few, it was in the movie when they are flying over the Med to go to Africa in a cannonball (see the movie) and again in formation flight approaching Paris.

maybe not a bad idea, leapfrog a generation in small aircraft design, create an aircraft that does what the 787 did to widebody, but do it for the large regional aircraft
