Hi Andy , first thing that hit me is that its a touch dark /under exposed perhaps.

The sharpness & level look ok .

I suspect the darkness could be the downfall..

AV , anything from 5.6 thru f10 , obviously depending on the light & conditions.

Generally with that lens on a bright day 7.1 to 8.0 .

Not at all , i think to get the clarity , sharpness etc etc of the CRT you'd have to spend mega bucks on LCD !

I actually had thought about going back to a high end 19" on more than one occasion.
