I prefer to do structural repairs on the Boeing aircraft versus Airbus. Yes, there may be some bias in play here, but to me Boeing's structural repair manuals are easier to understand versus the Airbus structures manuals. Every day, and twice on Sundays. The Boeing SRM is top over MDD(three volumes...Jump to post

Stupid. All he had to do was leave and call the cops.
The other two accomplices should be charged with their cohort's murder under Florida law.
This is an aviation website. We offer non aviation as a courtesy to our members. If your big concern is liberal bias on this site, then you should find a political site to post on. It doesn't stop you from posting in the Non-Av though. I prefer Tech/Ops myself, and I do post in there. I have expres...Jump to post

Shootings are not happening because we as Americans are selfish. I'll admit, there are a lot of screwballs that shouldn't own guns. But the problem is the screwballs, and felons know where to get firearms. There is also the developing issue that people's respect for life is diminishing as well as a ...Jump to post

It absolutely is an Aviation website, and I post in Tech Ops. As to discussing politics, that is what is allowable in Non-Av. Make politics off limits, and non-av would lose a bit of traffic. The big concern is the bias and lack of transparency. Moderators are supposed to be upstanding and not petty...Jump to post

The moderators on this site are far left of center. It's one thing to delete off topic/attacking posts, it's another to delete replies with disagreements. Case in point, when all is said and done the "Non Aviation" section of this site is an echo chamber. I'll have to agree on this one. L...Jump to post
The slat design on the -80 was completely different than my previous aircraft, the 727 with its numerous segmented sections, you never pushed the limits on its maximum extension speeds (bad airmanship anyway) if you did you’d get a lot of vibration But the MD80 slat was just one giant, continuous s...Jump to post

The idea that there is bias is categorically false. We will have to disagree. DL_Mech wrote:Not all airplanes get a strip and paint. If the paint is in good condition, it can be scuff sanded and painted over. This often happens when time is of the essence, and the plane needs to go into service quickly (such as a livery change).
Another good explanation.

They all lie. If you think Trump has a monopoly on that, you are fooling yourself. A point was made about ego. They are all ego maniacs to want the most powerful office. If there are right wing liars, there have to be left wing liars too.Jump to post
You could let it just go as some websites do, and you opt into certain forums knowing that is a free-for-all. It does reach critical mass, then it tapers back down.
Being a moderator isn't a popularity contest, but there should be a way to make the crew accountable for their actions.

I think it is safe to say that around 150+ people are dead. Another fact that is quite astonishing from my perspective is how long it is taking to find bodies in the ruble.
