Re: Oregon Aviation - 2024

It will be interesting to see if SLE can become more established beyond the oddball ULCC routes. Given that both PDX and EUG are nearby and both have plenty of capacity for growth, it’s going to have to come down to other factors like cost and convenience. I hope it works out. More choices are great.

Advanced Air is totally unknown here, and I have no idea how stable they've been elsewhere. While there are lots of E135s available (for Contour expansion/refleeting), there are very few DO328Jets out there. No interline options with Advanced. Contour too became moot when AA pulled out of OAK. Agai...

They will clearly test flights out of Seattle, and then try another hub. With no flights to Asia out of Portland and a huge number of companies that need to travel there, Portland would a be surefire win for them. But I think Seattle flights are more likely at first. CDG would certainly not be purely O&D. It is almost as big a hub for the DL/AF/KL TATL JV as AMS is and for many destinations, CDG is a better connecting point than AMS. I assume the poster means PDX-CDG on DL would be all O&D on the PDX side. Which, given the lack of DL connections, is pre...

Because PDX is just within the range of the 737 MAX, I think we’ll see more of those from FI before we see the 767. As they retire the 757s, they’ll want to send the 767s on longer routes the MAX would struggle with.
