Westjet @ SRQ
Porter @ MLB
Leaves MLB with only 3 destinations...ATL, CLT, PHL

Here's what I don't understand from the whole concept of flying to CMN to code share with AT on West Africa routes...ALL of their flights to region (DSS, LOS, NIM, ABJ, etc) depart between 10 pm and 12 am. So unless the plan on flying a daylight flight eastbound, there will be LONG connections to th...Jump to post
It's unfortunate that PHL did not get TLV. But there are nice route/frequency additions. I think there is room for two airlines on PHL-KEF. The 752 additions provide some flexibility on the departure gate that they do not have with widebodies. And just to confirm, this is a route that cannot be opp...Jump to post
Anyone know if money was thrown at this route by one of the airports (as is PIT pattern in particular) My thoughts exactly!! PIT back at it again throwing money at airlines - the poor tax payers of Allegheny County! Western PA is not the market for $1000 flight to OBX, would be much better suited i...Jump to post

The Four Seasons does not own this jet. It's owned an operated by TCS World Travel who has their own round-the-world by private jet trips themselves. TCS license the Four Seasons name under a separate trip which its already more premium on their already ultra luxury trips. https://www.tcsworldtravel...Jump to post
I just posted this in the Philadelphia Aviation Thread no more than two days ago as I was thinking about the destinations that WN has flown but since dropped from PHL over the years. From what I can recall, I think the below were flown but now discontinued: Manchester Boston Providence Hartford Pitt...Jump to post
Does anyone recall the number of cities flown by WN out of PHL at it's peak. Service was announced in 2003 with great fanfare but safe to say US and AA have really pushed them down to a small and niche operator. Southwest Airlines announces that Philadelphia will become our 60th destination in May 2...Jump to post
Didn't B6 only recently open up GYE from FLL the last 6 months or so? Great to see them add this route! And why does the Ecuadorian population in NYC skew towards GYE and not UIO? EQ for years bounced between UIO & GYE on their flights to JFK before recently dropping the route once the A332 left...Jump to post
Just returned from a bachelor party PHL to SJU on AA and the fares were crazy at $550+ but we were unwilling to take the F9 flights are brutal times - good to see the new flight is a bit more 'normal'
And yes this would have been a great route for B6 to enter!
On UA's current GUM to HNL route, what are the majority of the PAX? Military or connecting onwards to the mainland?Jump to post
Interesting that another small PA airport like ERI, SCE is now going to have AA service to ORD alongside UA. Like ERI, I wouldn't be surprised if this eventually spells the end for service from PHL-ABE/AVP/SCE/MDT. With short segment times to PHL, these airports are now well connected to CLT for co...Jump to post
Only last week, I got lambasted for suggesting that US Airlines are not interested in MAN. To further cement this notion, AA then scrap MAN-ORD. It’s clear that TATL traffic from MAN cannot really support year-round service with the exception of NYC and Florida. All other routes are highly seasonal...Jump to post
AA is dropping PHLFRA entirely, it's buried in the release on the chart. The article also mentions AY adding HEL-LAX on 3/31/19. Nice to see AA beating UA to the punch on ORD-ATH, and being the first airline to offer US service from BLQ and DBV. AA's seasonal Europe network from PHL is starting to ...Jump to post

CLTMUC, that replaces PHLMUC. PHLFRA gone entirely. PHLGLA cancelled, with the GLA station closing. ORDMAN gone. JFKDUB gone. JFKEDI gone. ORDNRT will be 3x per week, but as it says, will go back to daily in the summer time. http://s21.q4cdn.com/616071541/files/doc_news/2018/08/American-Airlines-Ex...Jump to post

Hopefully this is the next step to year round service to PHL or at least daily in the summer.

The 1-stop options via LVI (4 weekly) and VFA (3 weekly) will probably continue with E190...while the 3 nonstops will be with 737-800. They have lately at peak times and demand upgraded some 1-stop flights to 737. Are these new flights timed to connect with the new JFK flights perhaps? The flights ...Jump to post

I would have expected this to be a MAX route instead of a 757
PHL, CLE, MSP, YUL, and YHZ are the announced MAX routes (so far)

Would be nice to have it coupled with LPB in a triangular routing: BOG-LBP-VVI-BOG
I know it's been discussed before but LPB is a big gap for CM
It is great to see FZ expanding and going forward with EK. [quote="727LOVER" Do the 190s even go to CLT? What's up with GYE that made UA and DL decide to drop the route. GYE was one of CO's earliest forays outside of Mexico from IAH, originally launched in the early '90s from IAH via PTY. Later it had it's own dedicated service to IAH, also in the '90s through mid '00s CO served GYE from EWR, again vi...Jump to post

I hear that American Airlines plans to retire their Airbus A330-300 fleet by the end of the decade, around 2019 Try next year, as in, a few months from now. The E190s will be retired in 2019. When the E190's go I wonder why they'll put on the BOS-LGA shuttle. A319's again? My guess would be the Shu...Jump to post
